Established by Doug and Eva Dufresne in Kenora, Ontario, this family-run enterprise has grown from a single store to a flourishing brand with 15 locations across Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan. We are proud to “live local” through the unique connections we make with our local communities, our local vendors, and our support for local Canadian economies and accessibility to home goods.

Canadian owned and operated, Dufresne Furniture is deeply rooted in family values. When Doug and Eva Dufresne founded the brand, they instilled values of hard work, respect, and kindness.

Highly engaged, experienced, and dynamic leaders, work closely with Mark and our executive team on all areas of our operation. Together they reinforce the mission, vision, values, beliefs and culture the Dufresne family established, starting with that first store in Kenora, Ontario, to provide a better experience to our teams, our community, and our guests.

Brother to Mark and Shaun, Mike Dufresne worked alongside his family for 31 years, holding many positions within the Dufresne Group. In early 2022, Mike was diagnosed with terminal cancer, a battle he fought with grace, dignity, and courage until his passing in March of 2023.

The Dufresne approach is characterized by a strong sense of community and customer focus. Our brand’s commitment to employing its own delivery teams, call center professionals, and repair technicians ensures a superior customer experience—an ethos that Doug Dufresne championed from the start.
